Tucson Gem & Mineral Show {Part 1}

IMG_6767The 59th annual Tucson Gem and Mineral Show is in town! Well, it doesn’t officially open with all its exhibitors until next weekend, but retail dealers have already been flocking in from all over the world . This has become the largest gem and mineral show in the United States, and I couldn’t have been more excited to have exhibits just right outside my door. Not only do you see pure craftsmanship and the beauty of amazing natural pieces found from the Earth, but all proceeds of the show go towards the Tucson economy to support mineral knowledge and appreciation. This is the one thing I love about Arizona, people have a true appreciation for the land and what it gives back to their lives….but back to the amazing natural discoveries. We decided to enjoy the gorgeous day to walk downtown looking for pop-up vendors, and then headed to a mineral and fossil exhibit right next to my house. IMG_6770 IMG_6774 IMG_6776 IMG_6782 IMG_6785Breathe-taking minerals, gems, and fossils that you couldn’t describe but just look in amazement that they’re all found naturally in the ground that we live our daily lives on. I loved the pastel coral-like gems and the large organic structures that would become a jaw-dropper in any home…entryway? If only I had that kind of money…then again can money truly buy the beauty of these pieces.

I’ve said it before, but I love anything that is beautiful and functional, like a native Arizona boulder turned into a wine rack. Now, that’s a piece to have near your bar cart!
IMG_6840 IMG_6842 IMG_6845Beautiful rose gold copper pieces and translucent stone sinks that would be the envy of anyone’s bathroom. IMG_6852 IMG_6855 IMG_6857 IMG_6860Can it get anymore stunning than the sunshine glittering from these crystals…
IMG_6866Can’t wait to see more unique pieces from all over the world and continue my search for amazement…
