Twas’ the Night Before Christmas

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there…

As my family gathers, for our traditional Christmas Eve celebration and baked bacalhau {cod fish} we await for old Saint Nick to arrive on midnight, and I usually anticipate reading my favorite holiday story before heading to bed, Twas’ the Night Before Christmas by Major Henry Livingston Jr. And in the words of Santa himself…

Happy Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
